what makes people who they are

  • mood: discouraged

Don't u hate it when hopeful people are turned bitter by violence and injustice? When trusting people are turned paranoid by betrayal and deceit?  When happy people are turned morose by stress and strain? When optimistic people are turned suicidal by misery and misfortune? Sometimes I think the hardships of life suck all the energy, enjoyment, and exhilaration out of us and leave us all as empty shells of animosity, antagonism, and antipathy.

That's why I'm bitter.

Amen to that. I used to be the ultimate perfect girlfriend- I was cheerful, giving, affectionate and trusting to a fault. Unfortuneatly, none of the losers I was with back then appreciated that and used me until I turned into the jealous, paranoid, emotional and tempermental girlfriend that my lovely boyfriend of today has to deal with.
